Is Thundertats Expo family-friendly?

Yes. While this is a tattoo-focused event, it is family-friendly. Some artwork may be mature, so parental discretion is recommended.

 

Can I get tattooed at the event?

Absolutely. Many artists offer walk-ups, and some accept appointments in advance. If you want a guaranteed session, we recommend booking early with your preferred artist.

 

Is getting tattooed at the expo safe?

Yes. All participating artists are licensed professionals who follow strict Oklahoma health and safety regulations. Proper sanitation and single-use equipment are required.

 

Do I need a ticket if I already booked a tattoo appointment?

Yes. All guests entering the expo must have a valid admission ticket regardless of tattoo appointments.

 

Are children allowed?

Yes, minors may attend with a parent or legal guardian. Tattooing on minors is not allowed under Oklahoma law.

 

Will food and drinks be available?

Yes. On-site concessions will be available throughout the weekend.

 

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

Sealed water is generally okay, but outside food may be restricted by the OKC Fairgrounds. We suggest checking current venue policies.

 

Is parking available?

Yes. The OKC Fairgrounds provides ample on-site parking. Standard fairgrounds parking rates may apply.

 

Is re-entry allowed?

Yes. As long as you keep your wristband on for the entire day.

 

Do vendors accept card payments?

Most artists and vendors accept both card and cash. We recommend bringing a little cash just in case.

How do I apply for a booth?

Applications can be submitted through the website. Booths are first-come, first-served and tend to fill quickly.

 

What’s included with a booth?

Each booth includes a 10×10 space, two chairs, a table, artist passes, access to water, sanitation stations, and trash disposal.

 

Can I bring an assistant or extra artists?

Yes. Each additional person must have a valid artist or vendor pass.

 

What health regulations do artists need to follow?

All artists must follow Oklahoma tattooing and sanitation regulations. Additional details will be provided upon approval.

 

Can I sell merchandise?

Yes. Prints, flash, apparel, and other art items are encouraged.

Will there be tattoo competitions?

Yes. Daily competitions in multiple categories, plus awards and trophies.

 

How does the $2,000 tattoo raffle work?

Guests can purchase raffle tickets that costs $100 for a chance to win a $2,000 tattoo session with Josh “Eon” Johnson. The drawing will take place on the final day.

 

Is photography allowed?

Yes, photography is welcome. Please be respectful and ask before filming or photographing someone getting tattooed.

 

Is merchandise available?

Yes. Expo T-shirts and limited merchandise will be available on-site.
